San Jose Bookkeeping and QuickBooks

QuickBooks is a powerful program for bookkeeping and accounting but if you use it the wrong way, you will end up with a mess.

What I try to do is teach the small business owner the correct way to use QuickBooks. A typical small business has a very routine information flow. Virtually 85-95% of the transactions recorded in QuickBooks are repetitive. Once you have been taught the correct way to use QuickBooks, you have the knowledge to enter the vast majority of your transactions.

So for the remaining unique or non-recurring accounting transactions, you need the help of someone like myself who can tie the hard parts together and keep your financial statements useful and relative so you can make better decisions with your taxes, business and cash flow.

If this sounds easy, it can be. You just need a reasonable attention to detail, the right attitude and someone to show you how to use QuickBooks correctly.

Trying to run a business without quality financial statements is like walking through your home at night without the lights on -- you might be able to do it but it's going to be painful.
